Dear anonymous....
Dont worry about your heart problems....
Just having a high BP is not enough to cause a heart problem....There are many other risk factors like smoking,diet....
But you need to be a little cautious because there is a family history....
About your pain in the chest it is mostly due to psychological problems..Consult a psychologist for that....
In heart problems there will be symptoms of breathlessness, chest pain(anginal pain),palpitations...

Nimhans offers free psychological help. I even hear it's very good from a friend who has been going there for years. (Freudian Psychology is not curative, but an aid to survival).
Treat the depression, friend, you'll learn to live _with_ your fear of death, like all of us!
Anon,
You are having 'panic attacks'.
Everyone has a fear of living, look at the angry, defensive faces around you, you'll slowly see it's only fear.
Take life in 'Baby Steps', focus on one thing at a time and do it with deep breaths.
You can see a movie on it too, by the same name - it's about someone like you who was afraid to step out of his house (Like Doyle, I'm guessing you may be a woman, since in India, it's more common to women from too much protection to sudden external rudeness).
A homeopath will give you a med called Ignatia to help you control your emotions. Do see one and suggest it for dosage
